Greene County Republicans will have choices to make in a primary election June 7, while Democrats will have no contested races.
With the filing deadline passed for the Nov. 8 general election, there are two races for Republican nominations. Peter Bardole is challenging incumbent county supervisor Guy Richardson (District 5). The winner will be unopposed in the general election.
Kirk Hammer and Jack Williams are both candidates on the Republican ballot for sheriff. The winner will have no opposition in the general election.
Republican supervisors Mick Burkett (District 1) and John Muir (District 4), and county auditor Jane Heun filed nominating petitions. They are unopposed in the primary and in the general election.
The only Democrat to file a nominating petition is Todd Madson. He will run against Muir for the District 4 supervisor seat in the general election. There will be no Democrat on the ballot for the District 1 nor the District 5 seat.
